Ashley holds a B.A. with a major in Mathematics and a minor in History, and is currently studying for a second degree in Education at the University of Manitoba.

Ashley has been active in the Manitoba Cooperative Association since 2006. Starting off as a participant she returned to become a leader, eventually taking on the position of coordinator this year.

From Minnedosa, Ashley was active in the local 4-H club and played an integral role in forming the first 30 Hour Famine in her high school.
